Link Your Light — effective August 24, 2026
Link Your Light is built so your lights remain your business. Here is, plainly, what the app collects, what it doesn't, and what you can demand.
The app works entirely on your local network. Commands travel from your iPhone to your modules, directly. No data reaches our servers until you create an account.
That's all. No browsing history, no profiling, no third-party analytics, no ads, and never any sale or sharing of data with anyone.
If you use sunrise or sunset automations, the app reads your phone's location to hand it to your modules, over your local network — they compute the sun times themselves. It is never sent to our servers.
We count visits to linkyourlight.com anonymously and without cookies: the page viewed, the site you came from, the device type, the language and the approximate city derived from the IP address. The IP address itself is never kept, and the visit identifier changes every day, so it cannot recognise you from one day to the next. The city comes from a database installed on our servers (IP Geolocation by DB-IP); nothing is sent to a third party.
On our servers located in Canada (Québec), encrypted in transit. Hockey game tracking runs on those same servers, with no link to your identity.
The emails you send to info@linkyourlight.com are read by Benoit. To prepare a draft reply for him, their content and the state of your account (orders, controllers, pass) may be processed by Anthropic (United States), an AI provider that does not use this data to train its models. No password or payment data goes through it, and it is always Benoit who replies to you.
Under Québec's Law 25 and PIPEDA, you may access, correct or have your information deleted. Deleting your account erases your profile, your linked modules and everything attached to them. Write to us and it's done, no questions asked.
